The lecture "Basics of genetic"

Lil' Brave One Association is launching a series of lectures, which will be held online in accordance with the Covid-19 situation.

The first lecture was held on Monday, 18th May 2020.

The lecture "basics of genetic" is adapted for parents of children with neurometabolic and other rare diseases, and was be given by Kristel Klaassen Ljubicic, research associate at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, graduate molecular biologist, doctor of biological sciences.

Parents were given the opportunity to ask questions and learn the little secrets of the basics of genetics:
from DNA through RNA to proteins
from DNA to genes, genomes, and chromosomes
what is a mutation and what is a variant, what is the influence of a mutation on the structure and/or function of a protein
from damaged protein/enzyme to disease, given examples.
